Idag släppte Canon sitt nya EOS-flaggskepp, EOS-1D C, med filmmöjligheter i 4K. 4K är dubbla Full-HD, alltså 4096 x 2160 pixlar istället för ”vanlig” Full-HD som är 1920 x 1080 pixlar. Jag såg tekniken redan 2010 på plats i Paris när Canon höll sitt EXPO.

Som vanligt är så hög upplösning totalt onödig i mitt tycke ifall man inte har en 4K-skärm som ligger och skräpar hemma. På EXPO:t 2010 visade Canon sina egna bildskärmar och de var helt överjävliga. Kostade dock typ 100 000 SEK styck.

EOS-1D C bygger på exakt samma kamera som nya EOS-1D X men med fokus på filmning.
